The settlement resolved a lawsuit filed under the whistleblower provision of the False Claims Act, which allows private individuals, known as relators, to sue on behalf of the government for false claims and receive a portion of the recovery. In this case, the relator, Zachary Holtzman, represented by Darth Newman, received $315,000.
